As a Platinum Starwood Preferred Guest member, I very much prefer Sheraton hotels. I stayed with my family for 4 nights following our cruise to Alaska. Hotel is on the edge of downtown Anchorage. 10 minute walk to city center. Hotel is 15 story building. We stayed on 12th floor with super views of surrounding mountains, and suite had king... more

Good stay, no internet facillities, that is not what you'd expect from such a high-end hotel. Room was very spacious, nice bathroom, clean and friendly staff. more

Was put in this hotel as part of a land./cruise package of Alaska and Prince William Sound. Hotel was the typical big city hotel with typically renovated rooms (e.g. flat panel TVs). Decent location fairly close to the city center. Room clean and comfortable. Internet did not work in my room - even after spending 30 minutes on the phone... more

Stayed here with my wife for 3 nights commencing June 28th 2008. We had a room on the club floor, room was a little small but v comfortable bed and bathroom/products were good. A new flat screen TV had been installed on the day we arrived. The hotel is undergoing some serious renovation which isn't a bad thing as it's... more

My family of 3 adults spent a few nights at this hotel on two separate occasions. I'm an SPG member and got an excellent deal from www.spg.com for cash and points ($45+tax and 2,800 points). That's for a newly renovated room that normally goes for $289. The trick is to book early. Even if you have to cancel later, there's... more

My wife and I stayed for one night just before the equinox this month and found it to be quite nice. Our room, on the 12th floor, was large and well appointed. The one slight drawback was that the bathroom was equipped for someone in a wheelchair, so the sink and counter were low - but not a distraction. The... more

Following their suggestion of not storing valuables in the room, I asked the front desk to store my professional DSLR (thousands of dollars) that was bought right before the trip. The bellman who took my camera to the secure room was angry when he received my camera, complaining it wasn't necessary. Wasn't I just doing what they recommend in the... more

Our apologies for the distressing situation experienced by this guest. We generally take exceptional care of all of our guest's items and train all of our staff to be warm and responsive. This is certainly not our standard, and we hope this guest will allow Sheraton to serve them again in the future.

It's not the most memorable Sheraton you will stay at, but it is a nice property in a quiet corner of town (across from a large cemetery). The downtown mall is a few blocks away, about a brisk ten minute walk. Some of the better known restaurants are on the other side of the mall including the Glacier Brewhouse which... more

we stayed for 3 nights for work, as well as attending the Anchorge Mayor's Half-marathon. The hotel lobby was undergoing construction which was loud, dusty and messy. We were here in June with BUSLOADS of cruise ship passengers staying as well. We wondered why they hadn't completed this prior to high season. The staff were not that pleasant checking us... more

To all of our guests, Throughout this project, we have made it a priority to communicate our renovation thoroughly to each guest prior to arrival, and in most cases have done so successfully. Renovation is not easy on the guests or on our staff, and we deeply regret any occurrence that kept this from being anything less than a relaxing,...

No help with our 8 bags checking into the plastic draped lobby. Room smelled of smoke so we were moved, that is I was given a key so I could move the family and the 8 bags to another floor myself. Restaurant was open late service was poor. Lots of flight crews from the airlines, maybe they pay the bills... more
