A friend recommended this establishment so I booked it a few months in advance for myself and my girlfriend to stay there and do some exploring around the local area (I was also told that the landlord has a vast amount of knowledge about the local area). Unfortunately as I'd booked so far in advance I was single by the... more

This was my second visit to Penmachno Hall. Having stayed with my husband I could not wait to get back . Simon and Lauraine are very welcoming. However, my stay this time was as a single. I was dismayed to find that I had to pay £10 over the double room rate!!!!!!!! I would not have minded paying the double... more

I am very sorry to hear that this reviewer felt that we were "ripping them off". Having only 3 rooms, all doubles, we operate a room rate policy, with a minimum 2 night stay as standard. We do very occasionally accept single night bookings but charge a £10/person supplement. This is always explained at the time of booking and is...

There were 5 of us, Simon and Lauraine made us all feel very welcomed. Every thought had been put into the bedrooms. Dinner was exceptionally good and we all felt like we were dining at home. Would definately go back. more

My partner and I felt incredibly well looked after at this lovely place. Simon and Lauraine made a brilliant team, providing great advice, wonderful food (and drink) and more. The rooms had every "extra" - from dressing gowns to hairdryers, ironing boards, candles, etc. I was expecting the building to be somewhat larger from the website, but the room was... more

We stayed at Penmachno Hall with our two children (7 & 9), and I have to say that this was as nice as any luxury 5 star hotel we have ever had the pleasure to stay at. The hosts were as hospitable and friendly as they could possibly have been without being intrusive, and we really felt like guests welcomed... more

We only stayed here a night, but what a pleasant night we had. The rooms were very well dressed with the smallest detail looked at. The location is perfect for tourists. Most of all the hospitality was the best. The owners would do almost anything to make you feel welcomed. I think the stay is better than any 5 star... more

My friend J And me stayed at Penmachno Hall for four mights while we were exploring the natural beauties and historic sites around Snowdonia National Park. Penmachno Hall is a very nice place to stay, most of all because of the friendliness of the owners, Simon and Lorraine. They go the extra mile to be helpful, either with the food,... more

We have stayed at Penmachno three times, and we think its a real gem ! The owners Lauraine & Simon have done a great job in providing a warm and friendly atmosphere, you are greated by a superbly cooked full english breakfast with all the trimmings.
