'Whatever' is exactly what I thought when my Mom said we would be in a motel the first day of our trip, then when I saw the place my attitude changed, but NOT for the better. The neon sign was silly and obnoxious, the 'ambience' made me think of crack dealers, they needed to repaint the motel desperately. When we... more

Ok, let me start by saying I'm a pretty reasonable guy. And when the transformer blew up and the power was out until 12:30 a.m. (Read: No A/C) I can agree it really wasn't the motel's fault. But since it's not in a particularly safe area (I felt) none of the windows opened--and it was one of the hottest nights... more

I was in SLC to do research at the Family History Library so the location was perfect, only a couple of blocks to walk. The room was clean and comfortable, the desk people friendly and the wi-fi worked. The bathroom was old-fashioned and the shower very small, but it was clean and functional. There were beautiful roses blooming in front... more

This is a vintage 1950s "motor court" very conveniently located, across from Delta Center, two blocks from Temple Square, and about a quarter mile from the Amtrak depot. City Creek Inn is affordable and would work for families because single rooms can be converted to doubles by adding on an adjoining second bedroom. However, there is no pool or other... more

Definitely a good deal for the price. Keep in mind it's very basic, no frills, but it's comfortable and clean. The room was decently sized, and the retro motor inn style of the place gives it a bit of character. Excellent location near all the sights. Contrary to a prior review, there's sadly no cowboy to follow. But the sign... more

Motel is located only a block from the Delta Center. A great spot for out of towners to crash a night before a rock concert, and go snowboarding. Can't beat the low price of $40 a night. Staff were all very friendly, and helpful giving map directions plus extra towels. Compact rooms, and clean. more

This cute retro-style single level motel is centrally located downtown, within blocks of the Delta Center, Temple Square, and shopping areas. Convenient (and FREE) parking is provided right in front of the rooms. Our room had two queen beds, located in two separate sections of the room. I wouldn't call the sections different rooms because there wasn't a door separating... more

This motel is in a great location. The price was good & the room was large, clean and everything worked. The bathroom was clean but old. The shower could have been better,. For the price this is not a bad place more

This is a great location near downtown, Mormon tabernacle, etc. Very cheap but clean and friendly. Like a 50's motel where you park your car out front and walk the two blocks to the hot spots. Clean, very spartan rooms, but they're just fine! Nice flowers and very convenient. Why pay more for a corporate deal in the suburbs? (And... more

you can't miss the cowboy blinking & pointing to the entrance of this funky 50-ish "motor court" type place. i had lived in SLC in the 80's & had always smiled when passing the cowboy...25 years later, i am a frequent vactioner in the SLC environs and i have stayed in a wide variety of places, from Hilton, the new... more
