First of all, $100 on priceline seemed like a great price for a four star hotel. This Marriott is not four star quality, structurally the walls are too thin. We had to sleep with our bathroom door closed but even then--we heard all our adjoining neighbors take showers, flush toilets and turn their taps on. There are three Marriotts in... more

This is very nice hotel, although I don't believe it to be a 4 star. I booked this hotel on priceline and got the room for about half the advertised price. I was happy with my stay, the rooms were spotless and the beds incredibly comfortable. The staff were the normal snobby breed you get in these hotels, but were... more

I was looking for a 4 star hotel in the San Antonio area through Priceline.com. I was booked with the Marriott Plaza on Alamo St. It is a very old building that from what I hear used to be a Four Seasons. It has been redone over the years but still shows its age. Definately not anywhere near a 4... more

This hotel is in a nice location close to the Riverwalk and River Center Mall, however so are many other hotels in San Antonio! The two separate rooms I stayed in (all the rooms?) have the dreaded Motel 6 connector door with a solid inch of space between the bottom of the door and the floor. If you're not on... more

This is a unique property - in the heart of San Antonio, two blocks from the Riverwalk, but tucked away in it's private world of ancient oaks, peacocks and original German settlement buildings. Other hotels in the area are just that - a hotel surrounded by concrete! The Marriott Plaza is private, quite, with lush surroundings. We have stayed here... more

We stayed at the Plaza San Antonio for my hometown’s downtown New Years celebration--which is held steps away from the hotel’s entrance. Although I’ve been using this hotel for the last four years for this event this is my first review. It never seems that the hotel can get this special event right. After completing the arrival, parking and check-in... more

Not what I expected. Not a place to stay if wanting a romantic getaway (unless you just found them on the local corner). Rooms are on an upscale Motel 8. Not what you paid for. Breakfast Room Service would of been better if handed a bag from the local McDonalds. You think for the price that parking would be included... more

We stayed here for a conference we were attending. The hotel is not on the river but a very close walk to it. Very clean rooms with the most comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom had wonderful counter space and tons of towels. I see this as more of a hotel for conferences or business travelers. If I were here... more

We stayed at the Marriott Plaza San Antonio for a last minute getaway with friends. In total we booked 3 rooms via priceline and the winning bid was for this hotel. (Rate $94) Though the hotel is not directly on the river, it is about one block to the Hilton, which is directly on the river. The fact that it... more

We booked our room through priceline. Yes, i was disappointed that it wasn't on the riverwalk but it was ok. It was an updated and really nice room, great lobby, great staff, too much to park. If you are a light sleeper, this location wouldn't be for you. I am a light sleeper and two main streets intersect with this... more
