This is a lovely b & b. We received a warm welcome and our room was ready for us long before the 3 pm promise. A charming, clean comfortable room awaited us and even had free internet. Their router worked perfectly in our room, Olive Tree. Our bathroom was large and the shower couldn't have been better and the bed... more

Santa Fe is a great town. The Don Gaspar was not so great. Location: About a ten minute walk from the square in a nondescript residential neighborhood. There are many places to stay much nearer to the square for about the same price. Though ten minutes is not a far walk, it feels longer at night when there are few... more

I booked my room--The Monterey--after seeing their website and talking to Linda (the owner? manager?) The room is a guest house, offsite. Linda told me that the main house was a rental but was vacant, so I would be there by myself. This was fine with me, as I live alone and generally enjoy solitude. When I arrived, I noticed... more

This review is so unfortunate as the room my guest rented is off-property in a nice neighborhood, not part of our bed and breakfast. The only people that have keys are our housekeepers and they would never enter a room without telling the guest it was housekeeping. As well, they would never enter a room after hours. When the guest...

This was our first visit to a bed and breakfast, and we really enjoyed the experience. The Don Gaspar is beautiful, and the rooms and breakfast were great. The only down sides were: it is aways from downtown. Not a problem for two healthy young adults, but my parents wouldn't have been happy at the distance. Not a problem if... more

Recently stayed at the Don Gaspar Inn for three nights in July, 2005 and had the opportunity to view several rooms. All were spacious, but one (Territorial Suite) was a bit musty. The casitas with private courtyards are very plesant, but perhaps a little overkill as the common courtyard (for breakfast, cocktails) was colorful, flower-filled, and generally delightful. In a... more

We stayed in the "Fountain" room, 1-bdrm, 2 nights Nov. 17-18, 2005 for $225/night. Very high considering the 2+ bdrm/main house cabin was 'only' $250, & double the size & includes washer/dryer, dishwasher in unit. A quirk of the inn is that they only launder the sheets/replaces towels once every 4 days. This became a problem when my son &... more

We stayed at the Don Gaspar Inn in Santa Fe for two nights in October. I would definitely recommend it. We stayed in the Santa Fe room which was beautiful and very comfortable. Everything about the room was high quality. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a larger area to sit outside by the... more

I had the opportunity to stay at the Don Gaspar Compound and was assigned the Colorado Room since that was the only room available. I was traveling alone, but there is room for two in this room. The room is clean and the furniture is sufficient. The fireplace is a nice touch and kept the room nice and cozy when... more

We were very excited to stay at the Don Gaspar Inn and while our room and the courtyard area were both beautiful, I left feeling a bit disappointed and as if I had stayed in a nice hotel, not a small inn. Although the room (the Santa Fe) was cozy and everyone we encountered cordial, we were never really welcomed... more

We stayed in the Olive Tree room for 5 nights in December. The room was very inviting with Santa Fe touches (beamed ceiling, textiles, painted porcelain sink, punched tin lighting fixtures, etc). The bathroom was awesome with a heated tile floor with a huge walk in tile shower. The room and main gathering area were very clean and cozy. The... more
