This is simply a wonderful hotel. Not located right in the heart of Waikiki however, but there is a free shuttle service that brings you there.. It is near the beach Ala Moana which in my opinion is better than Waikiki since its not as congested. The shopping mall is also within walking distance... Great location.. My room was ok...... more

We stayed here one night making plane connections. The hotel was great, the location was in front of the Ali Wai yacht basin, not on Waikiki Beach, which was a little farther south. It was easy to walk to a number of restaurants if you didn't want to stay in the hotel. The hotel has a Japanese flavor, as do... more

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki after staying at the Four Seasons on Maui and the Mauna Lani Resort on Big Island. After those two fine hotels, the Hawaii Prince had a high standard to live up to. Overall, I felt the Hawaii Prince was a solid hotel and I’d strongly consider staying their... more

Although some other TripAdvisor reviews considered it a negative that the Hawaii Prince is away from the central Waikiki beach area, I had my eye on the Hawaii Prince Waikiki specifically *because* of its more secluded location. We didn't want the hassle of loud partiers, 3am drunks and traffic that other reviewers note at so many of the Waikiki Beach... more

This is a really great hotel - superb location and amazing views from our hotel bedroom. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge!! Super king-size bed which was extremely comfortable. Food in the restaurant was of the highest standard with a wide range of choices. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and there... more

We had no problems with the room. The view was ok but doesn't overllook the beach. It overlooks the harbor and the street below. The pool and spa are old and need to be renovated. Our complaint was that because we aren't Japanese, we were invisable. The staff looked right through us all weekend. We stayed in this hotel because... more

We enjoyed our stay. Found front desk staff to be very friendly. We booked through Priceline at $138 a night and had a room on the 23rd floor. Very clean, loved the opening windows. Staff has been very helpful after our stay looking for a lost item. Highly recommended! more

We have stayed in Hawaii many times and wanted to try something different. We usually stay in resorts, so we thought it might be interesting to stay in a luxury urban high-rise with nice city and water views. The Prince Hotel was definitely good for that. The seafood buffet was fantastic, with everything imaginable, even non-seafood items, ie:prime rib, and... more

My husband and I stayed at the Prince for 9 nights during our honeymoon and have no complaints. We got a great deal on the Ala Moana suite (with rental car, $100 dining credit and daily breakfast buffet included) for $320/night. Upon arrival, a bellhop loaded our luggage onto a card without hesitation and the woman at the front desk... more
