Stayed two nights at Tamassa in the beginning of June 2008. This is (especially for Mauritius) a very modern (concept) hotel. I liked the rooms - we stayed in a standardroom and although the rooms are small (compared to other hotels in Mauritius) the are functional and nicely decorated. The pool areas are nice (pls note do not choose this... more

I stayed in Tamassa from the 23rd June to 5h July 2008 and first of all i also had read the reviews. I have to whole heartedly agree with the other review from June on every leveland confirm all he said. My friend who was with me had multiple food allergys and the restaurant staff were marvellous with her. She... more

I have just returned from a lovely 10 day trip to Tamassa Hotel. After reading mixed reviews I was slightly concerned, however I had no need to worry. I have returned home raving about how lovely Mauritian people seem to be and especially all the staff at Tamassa. On arrival we were greated with scented towels & a drink and... more

We spent 10 days there. Advantages: *) Although we came about 8am we were given a room immediately after checking in. *) The gym was nice. Spa was also OK (but jacuzzi broke finally). *) We used mountain bikes and they were in a good shape. *) The most of personnel was very polite. *) Dinner buffet was usually very... more

Before leaving for Tamassa, I had read the scary reviews and must admit to being a little concerned. However, after having now spent two weeks at this wonderful resort hotel I can state categorically that the Tamassa experience provides excellent quality and value for money. The facilities are superb and within a beautiful setting in a totally unspoilt area BUT... more

I stayed at the Tamassa as a twin centre, i arrived on the 7th April 08, the reception is very modern and spotlessly clean. The grounds a large and there is 4 seperate pools and plenty of space. Sunbeds were easy to get and the whole complex was very quiet (although the hotel was running on being pretty full). The... more

We have just come back from the Tamassa hotel in Mauritius and it is a wonderful hotel! Hotel: As soon as we arrived, we knew it would be excellent. Instead of queuing to check in, we were welcomed with warm perfumed towels and a drink. The general atmosphere of the hotel is so calm and Zen. Service is excellent, staff... more

Just coming back from a 2 weeks stay in the Tamassa. The hotel is magnificent and the staff is very obliging and extremly friendly. Ready scaring reviews before we can say that everything is working fine except the lightning system, which still makes problems. The beach is not with clear white sand and turquoise water as you expect from Mauritius... more
