Frankly, having heard the hype about Breezes and discussed with many friends their experience there, we were a bit disappointed by the overall quality of the spot. Here's why: the layout itself feels a bit cramped and kitschy. The individual areas (lounge, bars, tea room) are each beautiful in their own way but there's no sense of space. The pool... more

Cannot believe the review previous to this one. Were these people at the same hotel as we were??!! We went in a group of 13 with our best friends who were getting married there. The welcome was very warm and friendly after a very long and tiring journey. The staff were absolutely amazing and nothing too much trouble. Any queries... more

My wife and myself stayed for 5 nights at Breezes after a great safari at Selous Safari Camp. I read a lot about the resort before the holiday and expected a high-quality hotel suitable especially for couples. But was a bit disappointed with what we found... The welcome we got was very cold - the sort of "where is your... more

We stayed here for six nights in July, as part of a Honeymoon trip to Zanzibar. When we arrived we were greeted with wet cloths and cool drinks to refresh us from our journey and seated in a very pretty area overlooking the pool and ocean whilst we completed the formalities of checking in. Our room was great, very large... more

For $4,000 a week, I would have expected far more than a basic and relatively small hotel room with no view. The décor is nice, but dark, and the price includes breakfast (0730 - 0930, groan)and dinner (it would want to!) There are no tea/coffee making facilities, no TV and no phone, not even to reception. The balconies are separated... more

We stayed at breezes after a great safari in Kenya for our honeymoon, it is a really well run place, extremely picturesque and the food is excellent, especially the buffets. We were led to believe from our agents, trailfinders, that it was 5 star and that the standard accomodation was near to the beach. It is 4 star, and standard... more

We spent five nights here, and had a lovely relaxing time. We really liked the food, especially dinners -- the three buffet evenings were spectacular: there was a BBQ one night, a spices another night and then a Thai evening. The rooms looked just like they do in the hotel brochure. We had a luxury room, and that came with... more

an amazing end to our honeymoon! Definitley worth spending that little bit extra to get your own balcony! The service was faultless and the food was of an extremely high standard, with an amazing choice! Only down fall was not being able to go in the sea without shoes cos of the sea urchins, and also the sea was very... more

We stayed at Breezes as part of our honeymoon at the start of April 2008 after a week long safari in Tanzania. Our travel agent told us that Breezes was a 5 star resort and the best in Zanzibar. We were so disappointed with this resort. Our travel agent didn't tell us and only did we realise when we arrived... more
