It was my mistake in believing that the hotel had some connection with the Normandy beaches. Despite its name, the Mercure Omaha Beach hotel is not on Omaha Beach. If you are a golfer, this is your hotel. If you are interested in the Normandy beaches, find a hotel in Bayeux as your base. You can see the Cathedral and... more

One night stay. Did not golf. Location is about 10 mins from Bayeau and Omaha beach. The grounds are stunning. The rooms are super clean, bath super clean. Rooms have balcony, views over the pool. We chose not to eat here but in the small town center. Most shops etc. are closed, but there were a small selection of eats... more

What this hotel lacks in elegance is overshadowed by the fact it is in the absolute best location to tour all of the normandy beach/WW II attractions. The hotel has two sections, one older, one newer. Try to stay in the newer section. The staff are multilingual and very helpful. Breakfast is very good also. If you enjoy a good... more

My mother and I stayed at this hotel for one night (7/24/07) as a part of a two-week long guided tour of France. This was probably our favorite hotel during the trip. The hotel is located on a golf course, relatively near to the sea, and therefore it has just the loveliest setting. Lots of flowers, green grass, view of... more

A young, energetic staff keeps this hotel going strong. From the concierge to the wait staff, all are very strong and customer oriented. I found them very attentive, even to the point of being able to render first aide and help save someone who was choking on a bite of food. Thank you Arnaud. As far as the hotel, it... more

The Hotel Mercure Omaha Beach was a bit difficult to locate. It is a modern, clean well managed hotel located on/about a beautiful golf course. The rooms are quiet, clean and very comfortable with modern ammenities. The hotel has a pool and fitness room. The fitness room consists of a few machines (rowing exercise bike etc.) and a small 'rickety"... more

Second stay here, once with wife and children and more recently with a part of 12 golfers. It's a good hotel in a pretty countyside setting. It has excellent facilities with a nice relaxed feel about the place. Staff are very helpful & friendly and the restaurant is a 10 out of 10. Of the dozens of meals i had... more

We stayed here as a base for visiting the landing Beaches in Normandy on a bed & breakfast basis. We had a spacious room which was in good condition with a double bed and one single, it also had a small balcony with two chairs which overlooked the golf course. The weather was hot when we stayed so we made... more

Stayed in late July 2006 for 3 days as a side trip added on to my business trip to LeHavre. Definetly off the main highway, very quiet, & private. Beutiful country side surrounds the hotel & off course the golf course is attached. Walk a few holes in the late evening, sipping a cocktail before dinner, and you feel relaxed... more

Stayed one night on a business trip. I had booked on the Accor website at the standard rate and was lucky to be upgraded to one of their deluxe rooms as the hotel was full. Rooms are in 1 or 2 story buildings around a swimming pool and the golf course. Hotel in the country, extremely quiet area, no traffic.... more
