My husband and I stayed at the Villa for 4 nights during our honeymoon trip to Italy. There aren't enough words to describe what a magical and special place this is. After an overnight flight, and a several hour drive from Rome we finally reached the villa (through some much needed help from locals) exhausted but so excited once we... more

My husband and I stayed at Villa Mangiacane the last three nights of a 10 day Italy vacation. When we arrived unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for our room because it was not ready even though I had sent them specific times of our arrivals. However, we were willing to forget once we saw the amazing grounds... more

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Mangiacane for a couple nights in June and I have to say that the place is as beautiful as the website shows. Our room was spectacular in the with a huge shared balcony overlooking the Tuscan countryside. It was two story with a beautifully decorated living room. the loft/bedroom was also beautiful... more

Fantastic Villa overlooking Florence and the Tuscan countryside. Produces it's own wine and olive oil from it's own vineyard and olive grove. The rooms are outstandingly luxurious and the staff were helpful but unobtrusive. Service and food in the restaurant was first class and unrushed. An ideal haven on the outskirts of Florence ideal for exploring Tuscany, a hire car... more

We stayed at the Mangicane for two nights during our honeymoon trip to Italy. This place is magical and perfect for a romantic stay. It is a peaceful haven in the beautiful countryside but only about 15 minutes into the big city life of Florence. The views and property are amazing. There was a bottle of their own Chianti wine... more

In my trip through Italy I visited Rome, Venice and Florence. When I was in Florence I stay In this wonderful Villa not far from the city center: just 15 minutes by car. This is a really nice place to stay: nice garden, pools and very good food. They also have an elicopter and I think if possible to have... more

Overall we really really liked this hotel. It has beautiful views, lovely grounds, good food and has two pools so that even when full it was never crowded. However it is such a shame they let themselves down in some small ways: 1) Service at the pool was TERRIBLE. Best example I can give is that we ordered food at... more

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in the main villa. Extremely peaceful, beautiful grounds and room (felt like we had the place to ourselves), and very attentive service. We traveled all over Tuscany from there (don't miss biking in Lucca, Piensa, Montalchino, and Poggio Antico Restaurant and vineyards (amazing food and brunello's). If you want to get... more

The hotel is situated perfectly with gorgeous vistas of the city of Florence and vast views of the wine country. The hotel is lavish with its accomodation and they just added a beautiful indoor pool and spa facility .I had 2 great massage treatments in... more

The only reason this hotel gets only 4 stars is because the rooms were too, too, too damn small. The property is absolutely gorgeous. The views are spectacular, the main villa and common areas are decorated beautifully. There are large terraces with frescoed walls and lovely chairs and sofas for reading, drinking wine, taking in the view. The owner has... more
