I had always wanted to visit Cuba and this holiday just proved why! Staying at the Sol Cayo Guillermo with my girlfriend was a treat! The rooms are large and spacious, with a decent size bathroom (no bath though, so it's a good job I only take showers!). All rooms have a balcony or if you are on the ground... more

There was always plenty of food available, however, it was not the best but we never went hungry. Breakfast was our favourite meal because of the familar omelet station and the fresh crepes. Visit the Italian restaurant by the pool for lunch of pizza or pasta; it has a lovely outdoor ambiance. The nightly entertainment was better than what we... more

It's hard to separate a review of your vacation (excellent) from a review of the hotel (average). This was my 6th trip to an all-inclusive and my 4th in Cuba. The beach is as amazing as everyone has said. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive. There were lots of games and things to do around the resort and... more

We were a wedding party of 54! The hotel wedding co-ordinator was fabulous, Judy couldn't do enough for us. All the staff at the hotel were excellent very attentive and happy people. We were a very large party but nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately a few of us had to visit the Medical centre but again they were great... more

This was our second trip back to the Sol Cayo Guillermo and it was fantastic. First trip was in January 2007 and the second around the same time this year. We thought our first trip was amazing, but the second was even better. We travelled for two weeks on the 29th of January, there was a slight delay at the... more

What a great holiday and hotel. After a few years of missed opportunities of visiting Cuba and Cayo Guillermo, we booked into SGC for 2 weeks end January beginning February and weren't disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly especially Carlos and Guillermo, in the cocktail bar, Ismail the gardener, Anita and the rest of the crew (they know who they... more

We absolutely loved this hotel! I would highly recommend it to anyone. We got moved to this hotel after finding out that our original hotel was closed for refurbishments, so we didn't know what to expect, but we loved it! everything about it, the location, the staff, the food, the entertainment, the rooms, it was all great! The gardeners were... more

Just got back this morning and am already missing the great expresso coffee and my daily coconut compliments of Sixton the gardener. Be sure to pack stretch pants for the flight home, because the food is tasty, there's lots of variety and the grills (especially the fish grill) are really good. Almost everyone who works there is very friendly and... more

First impressions were good and the majority of the staff were great. very few exceptions to that. The second rooms we stayed in were just down from the Cuban bar and were on the whole pretty good. exclude the dodgy shower pressure of course. The decor was also a bit tired but felt rustic and added to the ambiance. The... more
