My husband and I spent 10 days at the Summit in August. Although I like the outdoor scenery, the rooms are very poorly maintained. For example, the carpet is very dirty, the sheets do not look clean, there were a few cock roaches. In addition, there was no water to take a shower 3 of the mornings we were there.... more

We just returned from a weeks stay at the Summit Resort. It was an extremely relaxing resort complete with pool, grounds, convenient parking, and the casual Kissing Fish bar. Just below the property a brand-new bar "DeepBlue" provides a more up-scale option for a cocktails and apps. Our room (kitchen, full bath and sitting area) was clean and spacious. A... more

Just got back from St Maarten yesterday. This is a very nice little hotel. The staff was nice and the kissing fish bar is a good place to hang out for happy hour and eat a meal. The only problems with the hotel were that the water went out twice, the internet was out several times and they forgot my... more

We stayed at Summit for four nights. Accomodation was great, location good. Our bungalow was freshly recorated and the kitchen was equipped well. Ample free parking too. Resort has a nice pool and the view is great, mornings are really charming. There is no icecream place around, just one little store walking distance from the resort. Our expectations were met... more

we stayed here in January 2006 with our 2 year old twins. the hotel was ok......nothing fancy. maid service was great (especially with the messes the twins made!). the bar was nice. if we were to return to St. Maarten, I'd probably look at other hotels before I'd stay here again. more

We stayed at The Summit in Jan. 07...It was overall an amazing experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful, our room was always clean and well stocked with towels and such. We had a wonderful view of Simpson Bay from our balconoy and seeing the full moon over the bay was beautiful. The food at the Kissing Fish wasn't... more

We stayed at the Summit during mid-April 2007. We had a great time. The room was a deluxe studio, so it was well equipped and spacious. The room had a great view of the lagoon and pool area. The pool area was, usually, very quiet and some days we were the only ones at the poolside. It has a wooden... more

We stayed one night at the Summit before checking into our time share. The price was very reasonable, the location was good, and the view from our room was outstanding. Do not expect quick, exceptional service...this is a very small place. For example, we had a problem with our toilet, which overflowed on the first flush, water spilled over all... more

We've been to St. Martin about 8 times over the last 5 years. The last 3 trips were with a child. St. Martin is definitely not a child oriented island, not to say there isn't a lot to do with kids, there is but it depends on the group you're with. We've stayed at the summet 5 out of the... more
