I'm not sure if this was just an off night for Ruth's Chris, but our visit to the Dupont Circle location on a recent weekday evening was quite disappointing. I've also been to several of RCS's in various cities. While expensive, their steaks are perfectly cooked. However, even though it sounds tasty, a steak served in a literal pool of sizzling butter doesn't really do much for me. I prefer flavorful steak, seasoned properly with perhaps some sort of steak sauce... not butter. more

Ruth's Chris has the most flavorful steaks, and that seems to be true throughout the chain. The DC location is a bit noisier than others in the chain, and parking is a bear in DC, though public transportation is awesome, and this place has excellent service. Great for group celebrations. more
