“Setting is OK but food is terrible”

I went there once and I told myself to never coming back. To me it is like a "tourist trap", they automatically attract people because they are right on the famous and busy main road. I heard they are one of the oldest restaurant in Ubud, but it doesn't mean that they are good, they are definitely not "Ubud classic".... more

We were a family staying in Ubud to celebrate our parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary and booked dinner at a special restaurant for the occasion. The night before we decided to eat at Cafe Wayan. I have been visiting Wayan's for the past 15 years. It is tucked away among some bustle on Monkey Forest Road and may be easily overlooked from the outside. There are many nice restaurants in Ubud now, but 15 years ago Wyan's was one of the "places" to go and it is still wonderful. Indonesian and Italian food. Peaceful atmosphere... more
