I had a HORRIBLE first experience there, bagged on it every chance I got, then ended up there a few years later out of necessity. I was glad I went back, now it's my regular spot for sushi. more

I've been to Samurai Blue on a number of occasions (the one in Ybor and the one in Westchase) and have never been dissapointed. Samurai Blue remains to be my favorite sushi restaurant in the area. tight black shirts. beautiful people. it's a see and be seen scene. but the sushi is simply awful. go to have a drink, but if you're looking for amazing raw fish, go to bonsai, on bearss. more

We went on a Tuesday night, there were only 12 people in the restaurant. They were out of seaweed for the seaweed salad and it took almost 30 minutes to get 2 overpriced rolls. Samurai Blue is by far the best in Tampa. It is located in Ybor City at Centro Ybor. Try the spontaneous combustion rolls, they are awesome. Usually a packed house until around 11:00 on the weekends and can be noisy as the crowd is generally late 20's through 30's and having a good time. more
