We had reservations at Ciro & Sal's and I did not have the same dining experience that I had a few years back. what the hell happened? The waiter and manager were rude and the food STUNK big time. The waiter did not ask us for refills at all regarding our drinks and they were empty, we had to ask... more

I agree with the other reviewers that the staff is not very friendly. We had a reservation and upon arrival was given a tiny table in the rear that wobbled and was next to some air shaft that blew cold air forcefully. I also heard another table complaining about the seating. Anyway, I asked to be moved to another table,... more

The evening started with a rude waitress. We shared cappacio appetizer which tasted more like the cheap kippered beef you buy in plastic bags at the grocery. My wife's salad had a watery indifferent dressing. The cod and clams with pasta was inedible. The pasta cooked to mush and not even well drained, the tiny bit of cod dry and... more

terrible- and OVER PRICED. we just got home and have never written a TA review, but felt the need. 80-some-odd dollars later: the food was bland, oily and overcooked. the service was...not rude, but not attentive. grandmotherly waitress was not pleased that we didn't eat enough when we asked for the check. (portions were huge in addition). only three wines... more

I took my future wife here on a romantic weekend getaway and read a lot of hype about this restaurant. Dont be fooled, thats all it is is hype. It is tucked away at the back of an alley and the downstairs looked like the place to sit, very dark and romantic. Instead we were seated upstairs which is open... more

We arrived around 8 on a Monday during carnival week- we were seated immediately. The hostess was very curt, but no one wazs offended. Our server (wish I had his name) was awesome. We had a bottle of chianti- cheesy but it was good. We ordered from the night's specials- manicotti and shrimp w/ feta, kalamata olives, etc. Both dishes... more

Once again we thought that we would give Sal and Ciro's the old college try. We are drawn to a dining location not simply for the food but the ambience and staff hospitality so quite honestly I'm not sure why we had given this establishment another chance. The service is never a pleasant experience as we feel that we are... more

Having vacationed in Provincetown for a decade, my friends and I have sampled everything from the high end (Front Street, Chester) to the cheap counter meals :John's, Mojo's, George's Pizza, etc.) We're not snobs, and we really just want good food, good service & a fun time. After three attempts with Ciro & Sal's to see if they could match... more

This is a comfortable restaurant with cozy atmosphere, especially downstairs, with its low ceilings. Unfortunately, the food and service leave something to be desired. We were hurried along with lukewarm service throughout our meal, concluding with a request to leave because another party was waiting for the table--we were still having our coffee! We were a group of 4 who... more

Dined without reservations, ok. Appetizers ok. Had to wait for main entrees for over an hour... waitress dropped by 2x during that wait to say it will take 2 more minutes or so. We were patient as we're told it was a busy night (not really, lots of empty table as it was a few days after labor day!). Meal... more
