Went on numerous recommendations from guidebooks etc. Visited for lunch. The courtyard is beautiful and I imagine incredibly romantic at night. I had an Amelie's Special salad and my friend a beef sandwich. The service was friendly and polite and the food lovely. Great spot for a nice lunch more

My husband and I were recently visiting NO with his sister and her husband. While walking around we discovered Cafe Amelie and decided to give it a try. A wonderful lunch. An unforgettable courtyard. An intimate setting. It all would have been excellent if the dog weren't licking its chops at us at the next table. We stumbled upon Cafe Ameilie by accident, but I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere is wonderful. The quaint garden setting is perfect for Sunday Brunch. Everything we ate was delicious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is a wonderful break from the hussle and noise of the French Quarter. Highly Recommended! more
