do not bother to book premium cabin on long haul,,its a big con..you pay £200 + for just 1" extra leg room..thats the difference now in seat between economy and premium..ok you get a few free drinks and a wider seat..but does that justify over £200 each..i dont think so..and the agents when booking premium fail to tell you this.wonder why ??I wrote to Thos Cook twice to complain and no response...says it all !!!..so dont get ripped off like i did

We have gone with First Choice on our last 3 trips to mexico, i cant remember ever having a comfortable flight out of our 7 trips to the DR with My Travel, Airtours etc

Thanks for the advice

As been said many times.. Thomas cook have now upgraded the seat pitch in the standard cabin to 33" which is more than adequate (i am 6ft3) so in my opinion an upgrade is a waste of money esp if ur paying £100 plus..

I have just upgraded to premium with thomson only because they have reduced the price from £189 then £139 now at £99 but with that i managed to get access into the airport vip lounge and priority boarding, I'm sure the girl made a mistake but I'm not complaining, hopefully it will be worth it

Don't hold your breath about the VIP lounge. We had a letter from TC three days before traveling. to say we could not use the VIP lounge and were given a £10 voucher instead.

Iliketocomplain

I'm half expecting a phone call when they realise the mistake, but I think I'll get in there first cause I wont pay that amount for four inches of leg room and a better meal so will ask for my money back or the tickets there choice. thanks for the warning though

I flew to mexico last xmas with thomsons paid for premium for the 3 of us i wished i had used the extra money to stay in an even better hotel. Premium not worth the money this year flying with first choice to DR but going economy and using the money to upgrade hotel

The last few times we have been to the DR we have always flown TC and always go premium cabin, we always look on the net for the deals and always get premium cabin for about £70.00 extra, well worth it, wouldnt fly any other way. Extra baggage allowance if you want it, priority boarding, luggage collected from airport so you just go straight through airport, all drinks and snacks you want, meals etc, i could go on.

I wouldnt bother paying the extra for vip lounge though, waste of money from our experience

If you're flying Thomsonfly or Thomas Cook, you don't just get 1" extra in premium. Economy is 33" and premium is 36". Some people think it's a small price to pay for the upgrade, personally though I find the 33" now offered in long haul economy sufficient.
