Casa Del MARveous News... While at CDM recently Sr. Daniel Hernandez handed the reigns over to Sr. Javier Estelrich who is now the General Manager and Director of Operations of AMResorts in the Dominican Republic. Sr. Hernandez is headed to Dreams Tulum in Mexico to continue his "Magic Ways" there at Dreams Tulum Sr. Estelrich comes to CDM with some great history and experience from his time with the Iberostar chain. There was a farewell party for Sr. Hernandez and after the party all of us went to the front lobby to give Sr. Estelrich a rousing SUNsational and MARvelous Welcome! As SUNscape Casa Del MARvelous transitions into Dreams LaRomana Sr. Estelrich will be continuing the stellar service and making Dreams Come TRUE in LaRomana... And Sr. Hernandez will be taking more Dreams to Tulum...where Dreams Come True at Dreams Tulum... I will be going to Mexico in September to visit Dreams Tulum and back to Dreams La Romana in January...because DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!! Hi BB Have read alot about Sunscape and notice that you seemed to have your finger on the pulse with regards to the things that go on there. Just wondering if you pass on to the management team all the concerns people have with this place. And if you do what is there response. Have seen sunscape from the beach and was going to try it, but after reading so many bad reviews opted for going back to barcelo PC. The Sunscape must be losing so much trade because of bad reviews, surely they realise this. Heard a rumor that barcelo group was interseted in the place , is that true? Regards sparky Pete | ||||||

Hi Sparky Pete, Thanks for you kind words... I do love "Casa Del MARvelous" that is for sure... I hope I can clear up the "Barcello rumour".... Last year there was a period of time that was very rocky...the people who owned CDM decided they wanted to sell it. and they did... a group called "Playa Group" bought it from the consortium of people who had owned it...When "Playa" bought the resort they made the decision to keep on AMresorts the people who had til then been marketing the resort under the SUNscape Brand. After buying it and deciding to keep on AMresorts to market it...the owners made the decision that they wanted to upgrade the resort to the next level of AMresorts brands of hotel...that is Dreams... And that is what is going on now... AMresors markets 3 brands of resorts: SUNscape Dreams Secrets You can read about them here: And yes I do keep in touch with the resort and yes they are aware of the things that folks are writing...and most importantly they are actively addressing the issues...
