Interesting question, I would think sunscreen to let the skin absorb it, then the deet, so that the repellant is not drowned out by the perfume of the sunscreen....but I think the deet is only necessary in the evening or if you are in the forest, in which case you would not need the sunscreen at the same time.

OK I know it might have been a silly question (funny question) but I read reviews about a resort we were previously booked in and they complained about being chewed up while laying out. Be Nice. Thankfully I've not read that about Cano Coral which is where we are going.

not a silly question...I was thinking the same thing myself. And, they say to wear deet all the time because of mosquitos. They don't come around only at night. It also keeps the sand fleas away if there are any.

You should put on the sunscreen first, and then the bug repellent. Especially early morning.

You are supposed to put on the sunscreen first, then the bug repellent. Especially early morning and at night.

Better check your label. Mine says to apply sparingly, not under clothing and use only when necessary. It's not meant to be used all day. I read that it should only be used on exposed skin and then to wash off once inside and before going to bed. If you want something for all day use, another bug spray that doesn't contain deet would be better. When people asked if I was concerned about getting malaria, I said no and that I was taking my cancer-causing deet with me.lol.

Thanks Snow!

I always wondered if lathering all those chemicals on all summer long might actually be worse than the natural sun!! lol

And, of course it's always smart to add that Deet! Personally, I like to drink my chemicals! Then again they say Red wine is good for you! My husband has always said he drinks for medicinal purposes only!!! We can't wait to get there!!!!
