We are staying at Excellence and the folks whose wedding we are attending are staying at Paradisus Punta Cana. What is the distance between the two resorts and what are the options and cost for traveling between the two? Thanks!

Oh, goodness, they say the roads are crappy so that would probably take forever by taxi. From what I have seen on the internet my WAG is that taxis run $1.50 per mile, which would get expensive if we're going back and forth daily. I read somewhere that there are beach taxis. What does that mean? Are there water taxis that run up and down the coast?
