Don't bring any conchs back!! They will try to sell to you on the beach, but they will be quickly confiscated at the airport. Lots of shell jewelery, sarongs, check out the local outdoor market! Have Fun!! Lucky You!

I actually got my conch shell thru customs...but they confiscated my hat made of palm leaves. So don't buy one of those!

Rum, rum and more rum.

We brought back Rum and hot sauce they use...we found it at the resort...I am sure it is cheaper off the resore in the markets...maybe someone can confirm that? Have fun.

We bought the hot sauce for $5 US at the Grande Gift shop....it was the same price at one of the markets in Anse La Raye (sp??)

A bottle of Baron's West Indian hot sauce runs for about $3 - 4 EC in any grocery store or corner shop. Buy 3 for the price of one buy asking someone for the nearest grocery store when you're in town.

A unique mask from Zaka is a nice gift. His studio is located on the road down towards Jalousie beach. He has many designs and are very colorful. You can check out some of his work on his website:

Rum! Take a selection...

When I visit I always have requests from people; t-shirts, rum, the various rum cakes, magnets, beaded/lava bead jewellery, hats, hot sauces, photo albums - they do pretty ones with shells etc on, map prints (poster sized), aloe vera, st. lucia perfume and keyrings. Thankfully, I luv shopping and the luggage allowance is good:)
