Ok, I have 8 weeks and 1 day left before my vacation begins. I need to lose those extra pounds before i'm bikini ready. Ten of them to be exact! Who's started their diets and what are you doing to lose those extra pounds??

Great question lexyca!

I would like to hear how everyone does this as well! I have 6 weeks and 1 day left, and would really like to loose 10 lbs as well. Any tried and true diets or excercise that work well, and fast??? I know, I know, eat good and excercise, but I know that someone has to know of diet that works well and works fast.

I upped my gym time to 5 days a week since the New Year. I'm seeing great results! 24 more days for me!! I do a mix of cardio and weight training. I also quit drinking soda as my New Year's Resolution... so far, so good!

I'm not very good at diets. I'd much rather exercise.

I heard that Alliesmom!

I work out 4 or 5 days a week and that seems to help some but i'm just so DAGONE hungry all the time.lol.. I'm hungry right now just thinking about..

Oh, and another thing I would like a bigger butt, yep I said it. I'm starting to look like "sponge bob square pants" flat, square and cellutited.

Anyone have any suggestions on getting a little junk in the trunk and not anywhere else?

Lexyca, I am having just the opposite problem, I am trying to loose some booty. I got too much junk in the trunk and can hopefully run some of it off before the first of May. Probably not too likely. I will try, but I am thinking after a few coronas or cocktails, i won't care how I look in that bikini. :)

Hi Lexyca,

I am a personal trainer and nutrition consultant. I would suggest for "more junk in the trunk" try doing step aerobics or exercises specifically for your glutes. If you tighten the muscles in that area, you may see some more definition.

Also, as far as eating. Make sure you eat 6 small meals a day so that you are NEVER hungry. Unfortunatly the extra workouts will make you feel hungry, so make sure you eat a low cal snack after your workouts. Remember if your body feels like it is starving it will hold on to the fat (just in case of a famine). I know it's not fair, but you have to eat the right amount of food to lose weight. Good Luck!!!

Ok fitlady,

What kind of difference will I be able to see in the glute area? I have NO rear right now and I want one. What kind of exercises can I do just to target just the glute area? I use the eliptical as far as my cardio goes and it isn't doing anything for it..

Question for fitlady-

After work is when I usually work out. Should I eat dinner before or after working out? I used to know, and know I forget....which has the better effect?

I've found that Weight Watchers is an awesome program b/c you can eat what you want as long as you count it. I write everything down which helps. Walking really helps and I mix it up w/some weight training too. A couple years ago before I went to Florida I lost 12 lbs in a month. I did this by kicking my own butt in the gym 5 days a week and sticking strictly to WW diet. No cheating. The weight does come off, but it's not easy work, that's for sure!
