I'm going to Cancun for Memorial Day Weekend, I'm thinking about doing the Selvatica Extreme Adventure Tour. Has anyone ever did this tour, was it worth it or should I try another company? I'm interested in trying the ziplining it looks like fun, also what type of food do they serve for lunch?

It is the #1 tour in cancun right now. I have heard that the "light lunch" is really a pretty good big lunch. It is a tradional mexican lunch with beans and tacos. I have signed up to go. I have heard a lot about it. Once you get to the centones you can cliff jump, or zip line jump into the water. I hope that this help.

I did it a year ago and it was great. Around 12 or so ziplines. Easy to control your speed. Short bike ride through the jungle to the cenote (or go in a van if you prefer that). Young kids did it too. I also did one line upside down with a guide.

I did the zipline/drop into the water about five times. Or use the wood ladder or the cliff jump.

The lunch was fine. I had the rice/chicken.

I was picked up in Playa del Carmen but they also had pickups in Cancun.

I was concerned about the bike ride, I can't remember the last time I rode a bike, but I don't want to look like a wimp and choose to ride in the van. Is the bike ride going up hill?

Also, do you have to go on every zip line? If you try one and decide it's not what you thought it would be (u get scared) do you have to go on the rest of them?

I did this last year too and it was great. I am afraid of heights and after the first one I wanted to get down. I begged and begged but they would not let me (we were up in a tree). After a couple more ziplines I was glad they made me stay. It was wonderful. The guides were very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend this tour even if you are afraid of heights.

My boyfriend is scared of heights, he wants to do everything on the tour but the zipline, so there is no way he can skip that part?

The bike ride is mostly flat. If you want to ride in a van then do it. Don't worry about what people think.

As far as your BF, ask the Selvatica folks.

I had a friend who did this and said it was wonderful. My friend and I are going to Cancun July 19-26 and think we want to do it as well. How much are people paying for this? Is this one of those depends-on-where-you-book-it things, or is there just a straight cost? I don't really like haggling, but I don't want to pay more than I have to. Also, how long a ride is it from Cancun and approximately how long are you gone? Thanks for any and all advice!
