Someone (in their review of this hotel) posted that dresses are required for women in the restaurants requiring reservations at this resort. Can anyone tell me if Capri pants and a dressy top with a pair of heels are acceptable? Otherwise I have to rethink my packing and buy some darn dresses too. We leave next week..hope someone who's stayed at Occidental can help me out. Thanks, Nancy |

Capris are fine, dresses are not mandatory. Nice slacks are ok, too. Nice sandals are fine, just not beach flip-flops. It's not overly dressy, some of the guys forced to wear closed shoes wear tennis shoes, ok with jeans or Dockers, I guess. | ||||||

Just returned from the Occidental Grand. Loved it! We stayed 7 days and used our "dress" clothes once. Disreguard all the neg garbage about this resort! You will enjoy everything they offer. Make sure you go to Alberto's next door We went 3 times. Wonderful seafood and just plain cool. Have fun and dive alot! Eric | ||||||
