just got back saturday and had an incredible time. We stayed in the platinum suites on the Riviera side and it was awesome. The platinum lounge was very nice, Jaime the best bartender in the resort in my opinion.Rooms were awesome, no problems in room 5204.The food is very good, the shows were good. The pools and bars were amazing. The grounds are beautiful and will just get better once the trees and flowers grow more. the staff is very nice and willing to help. The hotel is still understaffed but they are trying really hard. I will be writing a full review soon just wanted to let you guys know that there is nothing to worry about it is an awesome place.

Good to hear you had a good time.. The lounge IS fantastic.

Would you consider returning to this resort?

SOunds like Platinum is the way to go for everyone.

Even though I was there in Feb and in Plat. I was still ready to leave the resort after only a couple days. It was probably even better then, than it is now.

Beachbum,

Thank you for your report. I will be staying in a Platinum suite in about 6 weeks' time and can't wait. It seems that positive reports are on the up.

How was the mosquito situation? Do they provide anti-mosquito plug-ins by any chance?

What was the view like from your room?

Was it difficult to get chairs in the shade by the Platinum pool? On the beach?

Thank you

Larissa

I really had no complaints about this place we had a very nice stay and we felt like we got our moneys worth, I would go back to this resort in the future but there are so many other places to go and I dont like to go to the same place more than once.

I saw maybe 5 mosquitos the whole time. Did not get one bite. My daughter did get some bites but my husband and I did not. We stayed in room 5204 has a part view of ocean and part view of construction of a new hotel down the beach. Room was very nice.I brought 5 things of bug spray and did not use any. They fumigate the rooms not sure how often but we did see them doing it once during stay. They give you repellant wipes in room.

Glad to hear you had a nice week...so did we!! We returned home on Saturday as well.

Enjoyed our week a lot. We were in a regular junior suite which was fine for us.

Hope people will not worry too much about coming here...lots of concerns for some but hopefully people going soon will enjoy the beauty of the place and the wonderful people of Mexico!

Thanks for your report, beachbum. I wish I could afford the $540 extra it would cost us through funjet to upgrade to the Platinum. We paid for an upgrade for the Deluxe Jr. Suite, so just hoping now that our room will be cleaned daily.

Upgrading does not automatically guarantee that your room is going to be cleaned. Our friends stayed in the villas and their room was not cleaned 3 days out of 7, they ran out of toilet paper, room service never showed up one day and when calling for ice was told it would be at least 45 minutes. So there's no guarantee. Meanwhile, we were upgraded from std jr to dlx jr and our room was cleaned daily, ice on 2nd floor so we just got our own.
