Don't miss 'The Exchange'. Its an extremely good restaurant.

You can get a really good lunch or go at night for a different menu. Believe me you will not be disappointed.

Da Vinchi's Bar is a good safe bet for an enjoyable evening and is easily reached by taxi.

Having been to Derry recently I would reccommend the dining at the City hotel but would advise booking. Sunday to Thursday they do a 3 course dinner with tea or coffee for 2 and a bottle of wine included for £32.50, it was good quality and well worth the money. My experience of the exchange was not so good. Firstly they would not take a booking for 2 people, so we went early, before 6pm and had to queue for a table. Everything appeared a bit manic there is a fast turnover and you are expected to give up your table and have your after dinner drinks at the bar. We both had steaks the wife`s was fine but my T-bone varied along its length from well done to medium rare and was extremely dry. The whole thing felt extremely rushed and although the food may be good in general I will not be returning. Felt I was on a conveyor belt.

La Sosta is easily the best restaurant in Derry. It's a very small Italian restaurant on the Carlisle Road and quite reasonably priced.

the exchange is lovely or the mandarin palace beside the quay. lovely.

The Metro, Downeys and The River Inn (all inside the City's walls) are very good for lunch and very reasonable prices.
