Can't decide - please help?

Couple in early 30's, like to have have nice meals and a bit of life in the resort for a few drinks afterwards?

Also, wife likes it hot, is 11th Sept for 2 weeks too late?

Thanks all!

Mid September the weather is still nice and hot during the day without the searing temperatures of July/Aug and this year June too when it reached 40c+

Evenings are a little cooler but still warm enough to eat outside. There is a small risk of rain but its never lasted long. September is a lovely time to go.

I can't comment on Argassi as we have only ever driven through it or stopped for breakfast. Kalamaki is where we stay and there are some great restaurants and bars with something for all tastes from noisy to quiet. A lot are along the main street or on the old kalamaki road which tends to be a little quieter that the middle of the main strip. Off the main roads you will also find some restaurants but nothing is too far away and easily done on foot.

Just shout if there is anything else you would like to know.

Hi, I've stayed in both resorts and would return to either to be honest. Kalamaki is the bigger with a wide range of bars & restaurants, ranging from Italian, chinese, indian to traditional greek tavernas. Some good bars with music or just sit, relax and people watch. Plenty to choose from for 2 weeks. Argassi, is just one main street, I dont think enough bars/restaurants for 2 weeks. Most of bars play LOUD music and it has a touristy feel. We went last September and sunbathed every day and didnt need cardi/jacket for nightime. Go Kalamaki, you get a VERY short transfer and can watch the aircraft overhead (if thats you're thing). Enjoy

Hi,

Just came back from the Hotel Sirocco in Kalamaki last week. Its a nice resort but very quiet. Most of the bars were quiet for July. My friends were staying in the Windmill bay apartments in Argassi and as the previous report said all the restaurants and bars are altogether.

Argassi would be more lively than Kalamaki and I would recommend it. Kalamaki is lovely but couldn't get over how quiet it was.

Laganas is only about 5-10 mins in a taxi from Kalamaki and it is very busy but alot of nice places to eat.

As all the resorts are quite close together you have alot of bars to choose from. Lovely place and would definitely go back there.

Hi Inky

How did you get on in the Hotel Sirocco? We are heading there in 5 weeks (cant wait!!). We have been to the bar in the hotel plenty of times but never stayed there, how did you find the hotel itself?

I've run bars in both but this season i would opt for Kalamaki over Argassi now as Argassi is very quiet due to alot of all inclusives. My friends who own businesses in Argassi have all said its their worst season ever due to this fact.
