We are travelling from London for Euro Pride in Stockholm. Flights and hotel all sorted out. Is it worth us buying a 'Tickect' for the Pride Park and Pride House? 800 sek seems a little expensive. What are our alternatives if we are without a ticket?

I havent been to Pride Park myself but I have gotten the impression over the years that the festival is quite concentrated to those areas. I believe you would miss out on most of Pride without a ticket but I am not 100% sure.

Hi ali24west,

We're also coming to Europride in Stockholm. This would be our first visit. Although we want to see as much as possible of what the city has to offer (we'll have 3 full days there) we also want to make sure we get to enjoy Pride Park too! After doing my homework, I decided that the tickets are worth if you want to see the celebrations at the park. That also includes concerts, performances etc, and is meant to be one of the highlights of the festival. Of course, you can watch-join the Parade on Saturday (this is for free, across much of the city). But it'll be a shame to follow hte revellers up to the gates of the park, and not been able to get in!

Personally, I recommend to include that price on you budget, that won't be too much more of what you're already paying for flights-accomodation-food-drinks.

I have booked tickets for Saturday and Sunday. Not that I need to be there all the time, but who know, if one day rains, then we'll do the other one!

(it appears that the weekly Kr800 tkt is sold out, so you have to get the daily passes).

Hope I'm right and this helps!!

See you there? Cheers,

Fred.

I just checked and the multi-day festival pass is available. They released more a week or two ago, but have refused to buy back day passes from people who want to "upgrade" to the full ticket. This is too bad, because you save quite a bit of money if you want to go several days.

If you are coming to Stockholm and not visiting friends, I would advise you to get the pass to get into the park. You'll probably find that most people will hang out in the park listening to bands, etc., until the park closes, then head to a bar or a club.

However, if you decide to not buy a pass, you'll certainly still catch a crowd in the gay bars/restaurants. It just won't be as much of a happening and will be akin to going to a similar bar or restaurant in London.
