And that is the rail station where I can take a train to Lahti? Where can I find the schedule for trips (Helsinki to Lahti) for Monday, August 4 or Tuesday, August 5th? How much for a one-way ticket? Thanks again!

Hello sonnylax! It's that station where the trains to Lahti depart. As I answered to you in the Finland Forum earlier: "There's a "Z" commuter train leaving from Helsinki to Lahti every 41 minutes past the hour in the daytime. - Travel time is one hour, and a one-way ticket costs 13.20 euros." The first train leaves at 06:41, the next one at 07:41... and the last one at 22:41 All train schedules can be found at http://www.vr.fi/heo/eng/index.html The "Z" sommuter trains take take you along the new direct railroad from Helsinki to Lahti in one hour. "R" trains go via Riihimaki. The Pendolino and Intercity are nice long haul express trains, but you have to pay extra for the ticket to travel with them. The Helsinki train station is just opposite the Seurahuone hotel.
