We will be spending a week in Kenmare in July. We love seafood. Can anyone recommend good seafood restaurant, especially one with lobster on the menu?

Timbo01 (who is probably drowning his sorrows after Kerry's loss today against Cork tdoay) has recommended Darcy's as a great seafood restaurant. Here is a quote from one of his other post replies "There are so many good restaurants in Kenmare town that its hard to pick the best. There are a two pubs about 2 miles and 8 miles from town on castletownbere road that are well worth calling to for their seafood, The Sailors bar and the Lake House. Further on again at glenmore there is Josies restaurant mmmm."

Hi

My favourite restaurant in Kenmare is An Leath Phingin..... unfortunately I have not got to go there recently.….I do remember they had seafood on the menu but I can not tell you whether they had lobster.

Leath Phingin Eile

35 Main Street, Kenmare

Tel:+353 (0)64 41559

My next favourite is The Lime Tree Restaurant:

D’arcys is seafood dominant and they generally have lobster on their menu:

Enjoy your visit to Kenmare.

Yes indeed drowning my sorrows today Tony, but still we must eat.. cathy93 if you like lobster it was on the menu today and most days at Darcys, and is a special in lots of the other restaurants here from time to time. Packies is known for its seafood and Mulcahys as well, the Sailors has the greatest seafood platter that i have tasted.

So much food so little time...

Thanks for all your suggestions. I'll let you know how I get on. Which are the best pubs in Kenmare?

Again thanks for all the input.

Hi cathy93, any pub that sells beer is a good pub....

My favorites are Florry Batts, Crowleys, Roughty bar and Connors these couple of bars do NOT sell food and the craic in these bars is great......

You can buy me a pint when youre here......
