We visited Ireland August 12th to the 22nd. After spending a few days in Dublin, we traveled to the Dingle Peninsula. While there, we stayed at Milltown House(the place where Robert Mitchum and his wife lived during the filming of David Lean's classic motion picture, "Ryan's Daughter"). The accommodations at Milltown House were immaculate and charming, the breakfasts scrumptious (We loved the traditional Irish breakfasts), and the view of Dingle Bay was delightful. We also enjoyed the gracious and friendly hospitality that our hosts,the Kerry family, extended to us while we were there. We had a wonderful time walking around the quaint town of Dingle and taking the breath taking Slea Head Drive on Dingle Peninsula(which the Kerrys had recommended)with its magnificent ocean views and landscapes. From beginning to end, we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday in Ireland – and our stay at Milltown House was certainly one of the high lights of our trip.
