New Fire in Big Sur Area |

A new fire has sprung up on the southern end of Big Sur territory near Mill Creek. Last I heard, the fire was about 3/4 of a mile from Highway 1. Travelers planning on passing through this area in the next few days will want to check for closure of the highway in the event the fire moves in that direction. The good news is that the winds are very light and the marine layer is expected to move in over the next few days. (Funny.... as I was typing the above, the skies darkened with cloud cover passing by). Report as inappropriate |
