Hello all

Leaving from Toronto to Riga tomorrow night via Amsterdam, will be in Latvia for 5 nights, any last minute advice/suggestions for us?

Very excited to go, this will be our second time returning to Latvia, we are Latvian, I dont speak it but my mother days.

Any suggestions regarding food, tours, safety etc is appreciated.

What to see and do in Riga for five days. not enough time, but when you go:

In Riga: Occupation museum, Open air ethnographic museum, National Front musuem, Art nouveau area.

out of Riga: Sigulda, Cesis, Jurmala, Kuldiga, Kolka.

About safety, Riga's a safe city. Just practice the common sense as you would back home.

Food to eat: Lido chain is excellent value, especially the Krastmala location.
