We're in Yellowstone in Early October and hoping to get up to Glacier National Park for a few nights before we drive over to Seattle. I'm wondering whether there are problems with road closures as early as October due to the Snow? Also, is the park actually open?

Park should be open, snow will be up high likely. Going to the Sun will be closed for construction. getting late in the season but it is not out of the way.

Spokane, you say the Sun Road will be closed. How will we be able to get into the Park to see wildlife? Hiking I assume?

Chances are the entire GTS road won't be closed. Also, there are a lot of other roads in GNP. Another great wild life viewing area is National Bison Range in Moiese MT. It is more or less on your way from Glacier to Seattle. Hope this helps.
