Hello, I am new to the site. I live in Boston and I want to get engaged and am looking for the Perfect Place for a romantic weekend getaway. I've seen some places are pretty expensive, I was hoping to spend $400/night or less. Any help would be great!

Things that are important for the weekend!

-Romantic

-Privacy

-Nice room (balcony, jacuzzi would be cool)

-Romantic Dinner (wine lovers)

-Beautiful Scenery

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Try The Manor on Golden Pond in Holderness NH. Look at their web site!!! It is beautiful there, very quiet and I know in the past their food was top notch. My friend got engaged there years ago.

See what you think of this place. I have admired it when ever I drove by and the reviews seem good. It is close to North conway center that has lots of fun restaurant choices and there are fabulous views all around.

Church Landing in Meredith. If you go in the "off" season...their suites are much less and SO worth it. Fireplace, jacuzzi, etc.

Also agree about Church Landing at the Inns and Spa at Mill Falls www.millfalls.com

They are right on Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith and every room has a lake view. There's a spa right on site and the restaurant called The Lakehouse Grille is romantic and has a great wine list. Good luck - hope you find a spot, and that she says yes!

I liked Lake Opechee Inn and Spa (see my review) even better than the Inn at Mills Falls. Better prices, too. I think I've reviewed both on here. Good luck! It's a great place to be romantic.
