Does anyone know what time the stadium opens for visiting team batting practice? Where I live it's 2 hours before game time.

Batting practice starts 2 hours before the 1st pitch. The home plate gate (under the big hats) opens 2 hours before the game (except on Sundays - 90 minutes), the rest of the gates open 90 minutes before.

Okay, thanks. Do you know how far the drive would be from the Candy Cane Inn to the stadium? If your not familiar with the CC Inn it's right across the street from Disneyland. We would like to be there when the Red Sox do their batting practice.

It's an approximately 5-10 minute drive depending on if you hit red lights. Head down Katella until you go under the 57 freeway then turn right on Douglass into the stadium parking lot. It will be very obvious when you drive it, there will be plenty of traffic control. Once you enter the parking lot resist parking close to the stadium. As soon as you pay your parking ($8), park just to the right of the ticket booths. This is the quickest way to get out of the stadium after the game. Little further walk to and from the ball park entrance, but much quicker than sitting in the traffic to get out. Also, resist turning on State College Blvd. to enter the parking lot. It is much more difficult to get out of that exit. Once you are parked in the lot, walk around the stadium and enter under the "big hats" at the main entrance. Great photo op and you will get the full experience!

Great advise. I've saved it so that I can remember to do just that. Thanks.

thanks for the parking advice. We will be attending the Indians - Angels series in two weeks. Can't believe I planned my vacation to see my horrible Indians. :)

Looking forward to the games and seeing another MLB stadium
