Chetumal to Corozal - Drive Rental Car, Bus or Transfer? |

3 of us are driving a rental car from Cancun heading to Corozal. My husband was told by the rental car company that we can purchase insurance just after we cross the border in Belize. Does anyone have information on this such as the cost? I am more inclined to park the car and take the bus or do a transfer. Information on parking in Chetumal, prices and thoughts on these three options is appreciated. |

my husband and I made the drive and it was fine. Just after you clear customs and immigration you will find a white house, just go in and they take cacre of it. I think it was seven dollars a day. Be sure you have the correct papaerwork to take your car into Belize before you leave mexico | ||||||

Please -- Which rental agencies allow cars rented in MX to be driven into Belize? That's exactly what we're looking for!!!! | ||||||

The Rep. for Continental Car Rental in Cancun told my husband that we could drive into Belize. We just needed to make sure that we have a paper from them authorizing us to take the car into Belize and be sure to get insurance just after we cross the border. | ||||||
