Hi,

My bf and I are flying into cancun in 2 weeks and driving down to belize.

We plan to rent a car so we can stay a night in tulum on our way down to belize. From there we arent exactly sure where in belize will we be, but we do plan to stay a few nights in Ambergris Key.

I would prefer to only rent a car one-way so i dont have to pay for it for the entire week.

does anyone know of a rental place that allows one-way travels from cancun to belize and vice versa?

thanks!

I don't know of any, there probably are some rentals that would work. Perhaps just to the Mexican/Belize border though.

You might consider the bus. They run very frequently, are modern, clean, have movies, very cold air conditioning, and they're cheap and easy. The bus station in both Cancun and Tulum are right downtown.

It's an easy bus trip from Tulum to the border. From there you can catch another bus across the border or take a cab, or arrange a transfer.

From the northern border town of Corozal, you can fly straight to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye in 20-30 minutes.
