We have only one day to visit Morocco during our cruise. Which city should we visit? The excursion for Casablanca features Central Market, Mohamed V Square, Hassan II Mosque, Rex Bar, Habbous Quarter, Mahkama Law Court and King Palace. The Rabat excursion highlighs include the Royal Palace, Roman ruins of Chaellah, Hassan Tower, the Medina and Kasbah of the Oudayas. And the Marrakesh excursion includes Marjorelle Garden, Bahia Palace, Djemaa El Fna Square and the Medina. All are interesting and don't know if we will ever be able to return to the area. Any suggestions?

I would do Marrakesh instead of Casablanca or Rabat. While Casablanca is beautiful, it is a big city and I don't think it captures the true essence of Morocco. Rabat is also nice, but I felt the only thing to see there is the Royal Palace. The markets in Casablanca and Rabat do not even come close to Marrakesh. Marrakesh has a huge outdoor market with tons of stuff to see. Also Marrakesh is in the desert and you really feel like you are in Morocco with camels and palm trees everywhere, snake charmers, lots of food,etc. etc. My in-laws live in Casablanca so I have to go there when I visit, but if I could, I would only go to Marrakesh.

cannot comment on Rabat ....but Casa-the-blanket is godawful....... Marra has some charm left so go the desert.
