Hi Jr,

We were in that country doing mission work. I love the people and the language. You cannot go far when it rains. There are rain barriers set up in many places so the roads don't get ruined. They are not the best anyway but a lot of vehicles going through the mud really tears them up.

I have never stayed at the hotels but have eaten in their dining rooms. The rains have stopped and now it begins to get hot. I think the temps are in the 90's fareignheit, not sure of the celcius.

I hope you get to go again and that it will be safe for you to be able to see things.

What other countries do you get to see?

Hicarnc,

Stopped off in Tchad on the way down and back but never got off, only 60mins each time. Apart from that was only ever in NorthAfrica(Tunisia, Morocco) & South Africa.

We're ferrying an aircraft to S.Africa next month and was planning to catch a lift down with nightstop in Monrovia and Kinshasa but work got in the way....

Bangui was special I really enjoyed my stay even though too short... been reading up on the country alot as the remotest spot I ever was.

One of these fine days I'll get back....

Glad you enjoyed it and has made me all the more determined.

All the best for 2007.

Jr
