Hi all we are leaving for Phuket pn Saturday, however a question for experienced travellers, should we "Glad Wrap" our Bags, my sister in law is getting all paranoid that someone is going to Shapelle Corby her, last time we went all our bags where padlocked, and my way of thinking was if i saw the bag tampered with on the carousel I wouldnt touch it, and call the authorites, and my way of thinking is that if YOU dont put anything in your bag that shouldnt be there no one else will (guess you know what I think about Ms Corby now)

Any Advice?

Quite simple as you were thinking......don't put anything of great value that anyone would want into your checked bags in the first place. All my valuables and electronics, as well as at least one change of clothes are always with me in my carry-on.

Have a good time!

WRAP IT.

You'll have peace of mind and you'll ward off any curious intentions.

If you're all blinged-out, might I suggest leaving the baubles at home. You're on a beach and it only begs for nefarious parties. Don't get spooked, Phuket is safe, but like anywhere you're not a local, it's better to downplay any form of wealth.

Have fun. Be safe.

really ? glad wrap it ? is it really necessary...what about those that haven't read about glad wrapping bags on the net and go overseas without doing that ? I have never been overseas but will in about 5 days...and while I have been in the international section at the airport I've never seen anyones bags glad wrapped...

now I'm wondering whether I should or not...
