Nightlife is enough if you mean dancing and clubs. Try Presige night club, or the Shambala, or Epicenter....

There are really lots of clubs...

If you mean life in the city after midnight, there are no people on the streets....

I just came back one week stay in Tashkent , Uzbekistan.

Of course I had to go to Tashkent on business, otherwise even if you pay me 1 mln USD I will visit this nasty city.

The temperature is extremely high during the summer and the air-conditioning facilities is scarce. Hygiene is almost zero, and especially during summer there is much possibility that you get infections gastrointestinal disease such as diarrhea.

Uzbekistan and its capital is one of the least safest countries in the world I have visited.

One night after spending many hours in a night club, and without any result, I came out to take a taxi to my hotel. The taxi driver took me to a quite place and stole all my money and left in the street. The other day when I was walking with a girl -which I get acquainted with him in a shop- I was stopped by the police, and questioned, and threatened to be taken to police station unless I pay 500 USD, which clearly I had no choice other than to pay this money.

Night life is dead and dangerous in Tashkent and is in the hand of mafia, and police.

The girls you may find in the clubs are mainly prostitutes which are already completely spoiled in Dubai or other international capitals.

Oh my God,i was thinking to spend few days in Tashkent only for nigh life,but now i am not going there.

Can anyone tell me where should i go in another Russian state only for night life?

It's funny how opinions can differ. But I think it has to do with attitude. If someone is complaining about the nightclubs and the women there, I ask myself what he is expecting. Go to a place to enjoy or to pick up a prostitute. And with an attitude like he is displaying in his post, I don't think that you will find something different. Playing the big spender with a total lack of respect will get you into trouble all over the world, sorry.

dear yankeez bhai, dont believe these posts who are talking of the nightlife at tashkent comprising of sons of satan, actually it is a great place for someone with the right attitude. you must go there and enjoy the night life ----- i assure you that it will be worth it, the only problem you can encounter is the lack of knowledge of russian but now you will find many people speaking english too. go to places like basha (club 25) it is a great disco and has a wonderful show, Bahor is another must go place (the best and most artistic show and can compare with the best in the world) the show starts at 10 pm every night, so make a reservation before going and everyone knows Bahor in Tashkent. I can tell you so many nice nightclubs like Eleco, Julianna, Fashion Bar, Diplomat (at tata hotel) Diplomat Service, Sky Club (at tata hotel) Sports Bar (opp Tata Hotel)

Good restaurants are Spice (indian tandoori and pan asian food) Chelsea Arms, Ariston Park, Jumanji, Caravan, and you must try the local Uzbek plov (pulav) with horse meat and quail eggs, it is a real delicacy.

There are so many visitors there from Pakistan, you can take their opinion, but try the above places and you will have a great time. best of luck

I on the other hand, lived in Tashkent for over 3 years, and still go back regularly. I find it the SAFEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! Tell me where else in the world you can leave clubs in the centre of town, fairy intoxicated, and see hardly and other people on the streets....except for police on nearly every street corner. And no, I never, ever had any trouble with these.

No, I do not feel safe in London around midnight. No, I do not feel safe in Adelaide around midnight. Yes, I have always felt safe in Tashkent at midnight....even safer during the day. Where else can women safely take a taxi (by this I mean ANY car off the street willing to take you to a destination). My foreign female friends and co workers never felt threatened with taxis (random cars) at night, and in most cases their Russian would be very poor.
