I previously posted how I wanted to rent a car and drive from Santiago to Punta Arenas but realize that it might be almost impossible (except that my dad who I am going with has traveled all over the world and done some insane/crazy thing, he is an adventure traveler).

So now I am thinking of booking a slight from Santiago to Punta Arenas. All the sites that I usually frequent show Lan airlines around $800 us but if I go directly on the Lan airline site in Spanish I see flights round trip about $260 per person.

Does anyone have any suggestions and/or know what the flight costs should range. I am flying into Santiago Nov 2 figure we will stay a day or two then fly down.

By the way, I am sooooo excited can't wait!!
