There are three good festivals there.

(1) One at Zhaolin Park in downtown (lots of impressive competition pieces there) at night time, (2) Massive displays at Sun Island across the river Harbin Ice and Snow World, at night time, (3) a lot of snow sculptures at Sun Island, during the day time.

If you have time, look for the Unit 731 Museum not far out of town.

I've just been back from my hometown Harbin. So pity that it hasn't snowed for a long time this winter:(

I am hearing lots of good comment about Harbin as a tourist spot. Love to visit soon what is the good or the better time to visit. I also heard there is a brand new hotel just opened up in the last few weeks . How is it? do you know? thanks AND CHEERS for now..
