My partner & myself are visiting Anse la Mouche in Mahe, next April for 2 weeks staying with family. We would however like one or two nites by ourselves in a hotel or b&b. Would anyone have any suggestions where we could stay?

Mahe is quite small so even if you are on the other side of the island you are only a max 45 min drive away so you could stay anywhere. The nearest hotels to Anse A La Mouche are:

Anse Soleil Beachcomber - guest house

Blue Lagoon Chalets - Guest house

Palm Resort- guest house

Maia Resort - luxury 5 star

Le Meridien Barbrons - average 4 star

Valmer Resort - Small hotel 3 star

Chez Batista Vilas - Small guest house

Banyan Tree - Luxury 5 star

If I was you I would get the Catcoco and stay on either Praslin or La Digue for a couple of nights to get off Mahe.
