planning to travel from Nikko to Fuji Five Lakes in late september. Using the JR 14 pass. does anybody have the timing for the train from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko Station?

Is it easy to find the Fujikyu Railway line?

You might use jorudan to search the train schedule.

http://www.jorudan.co.jp/english/

From 'Otsuki' to 'Kawaguchiko'

Timetable from Otsuki in Japanese:

http://tinyurl.com/3hcnoj (weekdays)

http://tinyurl.com/44en2j (weekends)

大月 = Otsuki

河口湖 = Kawaguchiko

[特フ]河 = limited express, surcharge payable

If you click each departure, you can see all departures and arrivals of the train. All trains are bound for Kawaguchiko except late at night. A diamond on the right side of departure stands for a seasonal operation. The base fare from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko is 1,110 yen.

It's very easy to spot the Fujikyu Line entrance at Otsuki.

Having explained the Fujikyu Line details, you might also consider taking the direct highway bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko for 1,700 yen each way.

I would seriously consider the bus from Shinjuku. The Fujikyu line is the most expensive per km line in Japan, as far as I know. It's very easy to find, about 5 meters to the left of the JR entrance. There is only one entrance at Otsuki Station.

Hi thanks, I'm travelling from Nikko. will check on whether it is convenient to take the bus as suggested by you. How much is the bus? The 1 way trip is 1110 Yen on the Fujikyu Line

oh I am also jusing the JR 14 days pass, so it should be cheaper if I use the JR Line to Osuki and then pay 1110 Yen to Kawaguchiko Station rather than pay for the bus far of 1,700 Yen from Shinjuku to Kawachichiko?
