hi

arriving in Tokyo and was looking at transfers. Tokyo airporter have provided me with a quote and they look good. Just wondered if anyone had had any experience with this company and whether they would recommend them. Any advice appreciated!

thanks

No personal knowledge, but I'm sure they will be quite good. Good service and clean vehicles are the norm in Japan. But there are other convenient, less expensive options, easily navigated with no knowledge of the language.

Many major hotels are served by the comfy and convenient Airport Limosine buses, 3000 yen, no reservation required. limousinebus.co.jp/en/…txt_narita.html

Other locations are easily reached by one of the two rail lines, plus perhaps a taxi ride. narita-airport.jp/en/access/train/index.html

If you want to look into one of these, reply with your hotel name, and someone will give you specific advice.

The cost of 18000+ per vehicle is pretty steep.

We used them about a year and a half ago and it went smoothly. No problems finding it, the bus was clean. We got into Tokyo with no problem. Have fun!

Take the bus. The Airport Limousine bus and a competitor are right in front of you as you come out of Arrivals (an orange counter).

Tell them where you are going and they will look after you.

3,000 - 4,000 Yen. No reservation necessary.

cost wise only works if you have 5 adults = JPY15,000 on the bus so hire taxi is not much more and will go straight to your hotel (although I think for quote you have to add tolls of around JPY2k).

Otherwise train+taxi or bus+taxi depending on where your hotel is.

Where is your destination in Tokyo and are you traveling alone? That pretty much determines your options. If you're in the suburbs, shitamachi (downtown) or a minor hotel then the limousine bus is usually not a practical option. If you have heavy luggage then the train can possibly be a challenge, depending on your final destination.

Thanks everyone!

Our plane gets in a long time before the Limo Bus departs and we have some issues with mobility and luggage so would prefer taxi/TokyoAirporter to get us there. Will use the Limo bus on return journey though and will ask hotel to reserve (is that correct? ) I think the Bus will come pick you up from Park Hotel Shiodome if you call in advance. Is this correct? thanks!

It sounds like the Airporter is your best option. I used them once when I was in a group and it's much nicer than the limo because it truly is door-to-door and not door-to-door-to-door-to-door...

A taxi is going to cost a little more and is also an option. If you have the mobility issue then this is going to be the best option.

The limousine to TCAT is usually running from early to late as is the onward service to Tokyo station.

Less than 1,500 I would think from TCAT to Shiodome in taxi. Below 1000 from Tokyo.
