Hyde is not even a club, it's a little bar and very overrated. I know one of the partners at Crown Bar, so i have to ask them what the procedure is to be on there guestlist(if they have one)

Basically the question is what kinda nightclub or fun do you want to have while going out. Dont assume that what you see on tv is actually real in regards of clubs(aks the hills/real world hollywood e.t.c.)

I understand that people want to see some stars or go to those places, but if you think about it, seeing Paris Hilton will enhance/change your experience of the club how? It's not like you will dance, chat, become bff's. There are plenty of better bars, clubs and lounges, especially in Santa Monica

As for Memorial Day Weekend Sunday, it's one of the biggest clubnights in L.A. I am doing a poolparty at the Houdini Mansion during the day and a Sex in The City party at Boulevard 3 that night. Can't promise you any celebs(could be though) but definatly one heck of a time. Just message me on here if you want to come out

Do you go and get into Butter etc in NYC where you live? It's the same deal here with Hyde, Teddy's etc. So I'm sure you know the procedure.

Are you staying in Santa Monica? Are you willing to drive (and not drinks?) to go to Hollywood to go out or pay $50 each way for a cab?

I would also advise you to concentrate on picking a place where you will have fun, rather where you attempt to see a celeb and spend the entire night outside in line somewhere.

In Santa Monica where are the main clubs/bars located? 3rd st? Or are there some further up if not staying so close the pier?

Also the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel (1775 Orchid st) is this close to some good clubs/bars?

I don't care about seeing celebs, we just want a good night. (Sorry hi-jacking the thread quickly so I don't need to make a new one)

The Celebrity Hotel is walking distance to hundreds of great clubs bars and restaurants. I can help you out with guestlists on some of those in the area

In Santa Monica, the bars are along Main Street where people go at night. There are also lounges at various hotels closer to the Pier. The Promenade has a couple chain ones (Cabo Cantina, Barney's, Yankee Doodles etc), but it's not a "bar area" - people go to some of those for happy hour.

Celebrity Hotel is near the Hollywood scene with nightclubs and some bars about a 10-15 min walk away.

^lol @ "Some bars" as Hollywood only has a bar here and there and "15 minutes walking from your hotel" when the Hollywood/Highland Center is right next door, literally 2 minutes walking to get to a nightclub

ANYWAY, sundays there are some happening spots in Hollywood like Deep @ Vanguard if you are into housemusic. Place gets packed with 1000+people

During the day there is THE DO-OVER @ CRANE'S

1611 El Centro - Hollywood which gets packed early on(like 2pm) or you could enjoy some poolparties in downtown L.A. (The Standard Hotel or The Flats would come to mind)

The only nightspots right at Hollywood and Highland are the Highlands for example, which I would never send my friends to. All the other places are a good 10-15 min walk away. I would know - done it in heels plenty of times.

You crossed La Cienega to the dark side of Hollywood? Highly doubtful! Of course i am just joking

There are plenty of places besides Highlands, which is actually a place tourists love and has one of the most amazing patios, overlooking Hollywood Blvd from 5 floors above.

Just dont understand your posts that everything in Hollywood is far away when places in West Hollywood by your own asumption are right there.(With usually the most places you mention are not even in West Hollywood like The Grove, Beverly Center, Robertson Blve e.t.c.)

Your problen is that you don't read posts. You just make assumptions about what people say. Saying Hollywood nightlife is right at Hollywood/Highland is misleading. When tourists ask for stuff, you need to tell them how it is. I always say how long it takes to walk from Sunset Strip to other areas of interest. Plus, Sunset Strip itself is more than a full mile long (1.3 to be exact). With places all along the way. You try to make it seem like everything is close together in Hollywood and it's not in WeHo, which is not the case.

Yes, I go to bars and clubs all over the city, including Downtown, Hollywood, WeHo, Santa Monica, Brentwood, etc, including straight and gay places. So I think I have a bit more experience and can compare things better than someone who promotes exclusively Hollywood clubs. You never answer my question when I ask how many times a week you can actually get away from standing in front of the Hollywood establishment, which is your job. From your club emails, it clearly states that you're there at least 5 times a week. I don't see how you can be an expert on other nightlife in LA given that fact. I'm out 4-5 times a week all over LA every week by comparison.

Ok, wow, you should e-mail me personally instead of posting on a public messageboard with accusations and insults that HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ORIGINAL POSTERS QUSTION

In my e-mails i suggest places that i think people would like. I can help them out with larger parties and birthdays, i have good contacts as i am one of these rare people who actually care and bring in a good crowd. My website is popular because it has good information on it. Clubs recognize that. I am not at each and every club that I suggest people to go to. If some tripadvisors come out or there is a big birthdayparty, of course i will be there

To suggest that i limit myself to a handfull of Hollywood Nightclubs is a very ignorant statement and i would have gladly told you that in a private e-mail vs having to post a reply to your rambling on a fine and helpful board like this
