My wife and I are going to CS in the begining of Aug to visit our son at Fort Carson/ While hes at work we thought we would go in to Denver and check it out. What is there to do in denver?What about this 16th street mall? what else is there?

There's always the Denver Mint

But....in CO Springs there's much to do!! Don't miss Garden of the Gods or Pike's Peak Cog Railway

In nearby Golden (near to Denver) there's the Coors Brewery tours and a railroad museum and maybe some nifty shopping.

OH and don't forget the Red Rocks which is near Denver. Neat to just hike/walk around there a bit.

Well there is a lot to do in Denver. The 16th Street Mall area is just one of the sights to see. Events go on constantly around the area. Not sure if the beginning of August means like the first weekend in August, but here are just some of the things that you and your wife and many others could do in Denver. I'm sure there are more things to do, but you should do some research and decide on things you might want to do in Denver. Maybe check out some local tourism sites, newspapers, magazines for places and events you might want to see. Hope you will enjoy your time in Colorado. :)
